Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a gentle treatment designed to help refresh and revitalise your skin, by very gently removing dead and damaged skin cells from the surface of it. The process – technically called exfoliation – progressively reveals fresh, healthy skin below.
The therapist passes a small handheld device across the affected area so that tiny oscillating crystals in the head of the machine are brought gently into contact with your skin vacuuming away dead skin cells in a safe, controlled manner.
The process also encourages your body’s natural production of collagen and elastin, proteins which play a key role in keeping your skin smooth and supple, and so helps to keep lines at bay.
The process is pain free and relaxing – even where microdermabrasion is done at a slightly deeper level, you should experience nothing more than a little redness which will fade almost immediately.
Treatment normally lasts for about an hour and you may need up to 10 treatments.
